I'm experiencing what is known as a writer's block at present. I have one chapter left in Nights at Kainan, and try as I might, I can't write something without deleting the entire frigging thing. I'm afraid I'll have to re-read the entire story before I can even hope to pen down the last chapter, and I just don't have the patience to do so. You wouldn't either if you had before you a 40,000-word story that you've read tons of times before. Thought of abandoning it, but Kouri disapproved. And so here I am, sitting before a blank MS Word document, reflecting on what in the name of the holy Mother of Jesus I should write. That's the problem with mystery stories. How the fucking hell is one supposed to present the revelation? I really want to end Nights at Kainan with one chapter and an afterword. But I've convoluted the story to the degree that even I can barely fathom the mystery and remember the countless twists that I created in the name of making it unpredictable, since the preceding story- When The Clock Strikes One- was a deplorable piece of naked shit. In the interim of my thinking I've written a story for Trinity Blood. And now- as I frequently say- I'm a wrung towel. Hell, I cannot even write one-shots anymore. I'll keep off romance for the good of humanity and adventure is a very limited genre. Mystery, I have proved as the bane of my imagination, and angst is something I can never write without killing somebody. So, as you can see, I'm in quite a predicament. Moreover, most of the good writers seem to have gone on permanent vacations from fanfiction.net so that leaves me with no inspiration. On a brighter note, Night Strider's back! She's posted her latest story yesterday, so there still appears to be some hope for the dying fandom to rejuvinate. One-shots are really easy to read, so I read them. I read them, and with every sentence I realize how style-less I am. I have no style and that makes my works dreary and monochromatic. This was violently brought to my senses when I read Pollux's Condescension, which is one of the richest examples of pure style. On retrospection, my works are just groups of words put in sentences, groups of sentences put into paragraphs and groups of paragraphs posted as a chapter or story. They have no subtle meaning, no rich metaphors, no witty humor- on the whole, no style. Vocabulary and grammar are the pixels of the art of writing, and style is the color.
Anyway, I hope I can get over my writer's block, out of this predicament, and back to writing stories.

don't be ridiculous; i'm he one who's completely non-stylistic here and besides, i don't write anything that can be remotely considered as a story. most of my works are just pathetic excuse for catharsis and in retrospect, don't mean anything other than ego-triggered recourse. writer's block is a big part of it. don't worry too much about it. it's up to you how and when you'll end your fiction, regardless of the external demands. it's precisely for this reason that i don't update. the absence of mood is going to be there no matter what, so wait for it come back around, eh? lousy advice, but hell. haha.By the way, this is Night Strider. I wonder if I can link this page to my blogger account?

Haha. You're not non-stylistic. I've read many of your stories and the depth itself is style. ;) Well, if it helps, they don't seem like catharses. Yeah, mood is one thing, and the other is lack of ideas. Finally, lack of time, and thus the former two. What account are you using now?

all my blog accounts are active, but I think blogger is most useful. Come to think of it, time is my only problem at the moment, or the management thereof. Thanks for the insight though, and for defending me from morons. Though I have to point out that I've been way too used to morons to ever further come up with any will to grant them attention. And their criticisms are often what I've been saying about myself: and I hate making myself redundant, among many others. It's boring, trust me, especially if they can't even correct their grammar. :D
