The anime Trinity Blood was my favorite at one point of time, and I read and write fan fiction for it sporadically.
As the title of this post plainly suggests, an author has crossed swords with me. For those of you who aren't familiar with my fanfiction.net profile page, I make a reference to 'crossing swords' with me, which is as follows: I thank you insincerely for visiting my page, and no, if you were thinking you would get something in return from My Majesty, you were wrong, for I'm a stingy miser, if you want, and I have an ego the size of the planet, so if you cross swords with me, I'll shoot you with the gun in my other hand. So I think it's fairly obvious what I'm about to do- "Shoot you (the author) with the gun in my other hand."
So in the rapidly developing Trinity Blood archive lies a certain story, which was written not so long ago, and is called Karma Sutra. Its URL is http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4169117/1/Karma_Sutra just in case you want to see it for youself. So anyway, I didn't read the story at all. The title was what caught my attention, and so I reviewed thus:
First of all, I hope you meant 'Kama Sutra', because that's the Indian book on the various different kinds of sexual positions, etc. There is no such thing as 'Karma Sutra'. 'Karma' is Sanskrit for work.
For those of you who are familiar with my harsher side, tell me, is this harsh as per my standards? Kouri, you know how harsh I can get. Pollux, you've come across some of my reviews, and although I flatter myself by saying my reviews are nightmarishly harsh, they are capable of demoralizing an author to the degree of reducing their self-esteem to a pile of rotten shit. I've obliterated three stories, for crying out loud.
Well, let's see what the author, Itasteofblood, has to say to that:
sorry for spelling it wrong, but do you really have to be so rude about it!if you want ill ** delet it then!if that will make you ow so happy!
You had better be sorry for 'spelling it wrong', little Miss I-thought-I-knew-it-all-but-it-turns-out-that-I-don't-know-much-at-all. And I don't like that sarcastic tone in which you seem to be apologizing, because from my point of view, you're blinded by conceitedness and are incorrigible to the degree of being capable of walking right off a cliff, paying no heed to warnings, which in this case are constructive criticisms. Hell, I didn't even criticize your story, much less even read it. It was just the title that caught my attention and that's what I was pointing out to you, and quite cordially at that. I don't like the sound of 'cordially', so I'll say 'indifferently'. The title you've selected for your story is blasphemously erroneous in context because, like I'd said in my polite review, 'karma' is Sanskrit for work, and 'sutra' for book or scripture, while 'kama' is Sanskrit for desire, which is what sex is all about aside from procreation, and is hence an apropos title for a book dealing with such things. You obviously didn't know that. I doubt you ever even heard about the Kama Sutra? Or even if you had, I'm sure you knew fairly well that it's 'Kama Sutra' but still went and mistyped it as 'Karma Sutra' and went, "Oh well, I'm sure nobody'll notice."
The title of a story is not incorrigible, as is so obvious to anyone who calls themselves an FFnet author. After reading my cordial review you could have simply changed the title of the story. But instead, you fire back at me as if I insulted your mother and the rest of your impecunious family that is in severe need of monetary attention as well as that from Lady Logical Thinking. Rereading my review, I found it not in the slightest bit offensive. If you expected profuse and obsequious eulogy accompanying a minor and succinct correction, then you have no idea who you're dealing with. I paid a brief visit to your profile and thence your blog, where I discovered that you are American. I am American-born too, if you must know, so don't give me all that 'better than thou' crap.
Why 'Kama Sutra' of all sordid and sexually insinuative combinations that are possible with the words in the English language? Did you think it sounded cool? Particularly when the mistyped version of your title meant 'The Book of Work' in translation? And then you seem to go "Are you shitting me?", because evidently it hit you really hard that someone should 'actually' know what it meant, and that was just because you didn't. Get it into your head: Kama Sutra is an ancient Indian scripture and mistyping it and pretending everything's fine is a sin per se. Moreover it only punctuates your audacity and tenacious ignorance.
If you were so aware that 'Kama Sutra' even existed, which you perspicuously were, why didn't you make the least bit of effort to even find out about it anyway? You probably came across it on some porn website and decided it sounded cool, plus it had something to do with porn, so it would be overwhelmingly apt for a title of a story built along similar lines, didn't you? And the revelation of what Kama Sutra actually was hit you so hard that you couldn't come up with anything lamer than "if you want ill ** delet it then!if that will make you ow so happy!" You were so desperate that you forgot your spellings and grammar, and I'm predisposed to think you'd shit in your pants when you'd read my innocuous review.
I knew that my rude reviews would someday elicit retaliation from the offended, but to be honest, I never really expected this particular review to be so consequential. But I'm glad you retorted, because it's been quite fun writing out this diatribe.

just so you know,i do know what kama suita is, and i have read it through. you are just a ass hole who thinks you have the right to critisise people because you cant handle the fact your an anol jerk that thinks people actually care what you have to say.
Ah, so you <>do<> know what 'Kama Suita' is! Now isn't that a wonder? What's more wondrous is the fact that you've mistyped <>Kama Sutra<> twice, for the record. I'm quite unaware of any curse or jinx that might be attached with that name and gets activated whenever someone types it <>correctly<>. Don't know what an insightful clairvoyant such as yourself may behold it to be. Apart from the fact that it describes in detail things that are considered inappropriate for children, I see no reason why 'Kama Sutra' should be disdained so heavily. Knowingly, or unknowingly, you have disdained the Kama Sutra. I'm digressing here.'Asshole' is one of the commonest words used by Americans, so how can you disgrace our culture by misspelling it? And the remaining portion of the sentence is quite amusing as well. I grant that I have assumed the role of a harsh critic, and I only do my job. 'Criticism' is not always synonymous to belittling, because the former applies even to neutral critiques. In which case there is nothing wrong with criticizing, because the little review thingo that all authors covet is also criticism. Unless of course the reviewer in question is a thickheaded eulogizer.Have you read that paragraph in the post that says the title of a story is not incorrigible? I doubt it. Go back and read it, and my review, and tell me, first, how my review was all that offensive, and second, why you chose to retaliate instead of correcting the title, which most authors would wisely choose to do. I'll answer this for you: You have an overgrown ego that refuses to admit your mistakes.Or,You're an attention-demanding, schizophrenic outcast who has nothing better to do than to pick fights with people who know better.
your right i do have an ego, but im no child. I'm just starting College, i just share the love of writing like evryone elts. but i dont like being told how to write.you may be dissgraced by my grammer, but i dont see anyone elts complaining about it.
Oh, and I almost forgot: Did you mean 'anole' or 'anal'? Because if you meant 'anal', the sentence makes no sense, and that word can be safely eliminated. If you meant 'anole', which is like a chameleon, I'd say your impression of me is that of a two-faced blood traitor. But if I did 'change color' and talk behind people's backs, would I have been so frank with you? I doubt it.And the reason you are here and retaliating in the first place is because you do care about what I have to say. As you did back when you retaliated with that odiously written review to your own story. So you see, as much as you don't want to admit it, I am right, and that's why you're uncontrollably angry at the moment. Haha.
I'm laughing right now. Not because I'm overwhelmed by your testimonial to the art of writing, but because I'm thoroughly amused as to how many grammatical and spelling errors you can stuff into a few lines.Haha. You're no child, but your grammar resembles that of one, which is a matter of shame, actually, because I have high regard for the English standard that the SAT demands. It'll be entirely unfair to say that I'm the only one being disgraced. It's just that most people don't like being frank. 'Thickheaded eulogizers', if you remember from my last comment. So you can't be too sure. And <>they<> should be called <>anoles<>.>><>i don't like being told how to write.<>Haha. That's what I meant by your tenacity. You know, that cliff analogy? In simpler words, you're not willing to correct yourself even if a mandate is placed to that effect.<>Elts<>? Never heard of that Internet-slang before. Anyway, I don't want to repeat the <>thickheaded eulogizer<> thing once again. ^^
Haha. I died while reading this. Oh my god. What is the world coming into??? The story has been erased, thank the rules for that. judging by her rhetoric i don't suppose it could be any better.
Haha. Yes, her grammar is abhorrent, isn't it? And what's worse, it's voluntarily so! Her story probably wasn't anything great. Haven't read it. :PAnyway it was quite fun fighting this one-sided battle and for a brief period of time I actually felt like a BYLT. So I'll hopefully see you on FFnet, Strider.
