So what's new? I went to an Italian restaurant today for lunch and contented myself with what was probably the best Italian food this city can offer. Although they strongly advise one against indulging in such earthly pleasures too deeply, one can't help reveling in eating, especially if the food in question is so good.

At one point my mom began talking with someone and I looked over and noticed that that someone was the mom of someone I know. Then I brought my attention back to my pasta. That someone I know was meanwhile getting dessert for herself. I saw her, she didn't see me. And then she went back to her table.

I was done with the main course and went over to the dessert counter. I looked around to see where she sat, but I couldn't see her. She was probably seated outside, I thought. Then I had my dessert.

My dad paid the check and it was time for us to leave. While we were leaving I saw her family and her, who were indeed seated outside. My mom waved to her mom, her mom waved back. She looked at me, I looked at her. She said nothing, I said nothing. And then I left.
