Barack Obama was 349 and McCain, merely 162. Obama created history (by now this line's cliched already) by becoming the first ever African-American President. A mere few decades ago such a notion would have been written off as ridiculous and whimsical. But today, today when Obama stands elected to the highest position, not only in the United States but also the whole world, we learn that history was never meant to be constant, that the future holds the most unpredictable, unfathomable things for us to behold. Martin Luther King Jr. is probably having a party in his grave right now.
I shall hope that Barack Obama will continue on for a second term in the White House, and hope that in return he will remain true to his promises and reaffirm America's position on the globe and deliver the country from the current state of economic crisis. That is all.
