Slam Dunk manga, weather, blah

I finished reading the Slam Dunk manga, starting at the point the anime left off. Although it was a little hard for me to follow the dynamics of the basketball games initially, since I only watched the anime, I got used to it soon enough. Inoue is a genius. I actually felt part of the games after a while. The Sannoh game was just beautiful. It gave me goosebumps. Although I knew Shohoku would win in the end, I couldn't help but feel apprehensive. It's that well... written/illustrated. Sawakita's a jerk. I mean, how dare he beat Sendoh? Okay, so he's an effing prodigy, and a wimpy ass, but he just cannot be that much better than Sendoh. That's next to impossible. In fact, that's beyond impossible. I also refuse to believe Rukawa is better than Sendoh. Although in the manga when Rukawa plays one-on-one against Sendoh, they show them to be equals, in my eyes, Sendoh's still the better player. And when Moroboshi said Rukawa's skills were not so far from Sawakita's, that automatically implied that Sendoh's were even closer. To me, at least. Enough with the fact that I'm utterly biased toward Sendoh.

The weather here is just awesome! Beautiful weather--just like Seattle's. Cloudy, cold, windy--my favorite weather conditions. Something I love, love, love to the effing core. It's midday and yet it's beautifully cloudy and chilly. That's Indian winter for you... although it isn't exactly winter yet. It rained toward the dawn and the morning was just so inviting. I'm gonna be really disappointed if the weather doesn't continue this way all the way to February, I swear.

Also, those reading this might want to check out the latest story in the Slam Dunk category. One would normally have thought all the crappy writers were eradicated by the flamers. Turns out there are some left, popping up here and there like mushrooms after a rain-shower. What's more, the author's Filipino. Interest you?

er, i love Eiji Sawakita's character so much. i really do think he deserves the title best in japan. perhaps he's not above two notches sendoh but he definitely is better, way better, even. and i seriously don't think rukawa is quite there yet, even in the closing chapters. from what i understood, rukawa and sendoh are equals in one on one games strictly. on actual games, however, sendoh can just shove the freshman's face in the dumps. i swear. i love sendoh and sawakita!

yeah, well, i like the fact that he's a wimpy pushover outside of court. that's something that draws him down to earth. i mean, for instance, there is practically nothing in rukawa apart from looks that justifies the fact that he's human. sawakita is unarguably the best in japan (perhaps behind moroboshi, at least? haha) and i would definitely like to think that sendoh was being humble when he talked about sawakita that way. but i refuse to believe that he's a prodigy: he just probably has more practice than the rest, but he's definitely not GIFTED. blah, blah, blah... hahayeah, rukawa is nothing compared to sendoh. *boo, rukawa, BOO you and your fugly fangirls!* sendoh definitely deserves a crazy cheering squad that's bigger than rukawa's. :Puh, yeah, sendoh's super, super cool, sawakita's good, too. mitsui's great, maki rocks, and rukawa's great too, just so long as people don't dare compare him with sendoh. XDby the way, i haven't seen you around the site in quite a long time. :)
