Oh my gosh, it's December already! I'm freaking out, because my exams are only 10 days away from now and I haven't started studied anything except for history, and even here I've only managed to finish half. I'm only nervous about java this time, because we have the entire book to study and the last time I managed to scrap a 77% (including the practical tests it was 89%), and that was only after I read through the textbook twice. This time, I haven't even touched my textbook yet. Moreover, the teacher has assured us that it's going to be a hard test. She was pretty effusive there; sadistically so. But my tests aren't of immediate concern to me. What I'm really nervous about is my Hindi viva test, which is to be held on the 3rd. Fuck, it's hard! We've been given twenty headings--proverbial--out of this book of moral short stories, and we have to find out what they mean (the proverbs), and on the 3rd, the teacher's randomly going to select a heading for a student and he or she has to extemporize a three-minute something in front of the rest of the class. And since my spoken Hindi is limited to those people who are incapable of speaking English--(that is to say, I speak Hindi only when I'm desparate to get my message across)--I am really, really, really--insert a thousand more 'really'-ies here--nervous. In any case, I'll try and negotiate with the Hindi teacher and ask to be viva-ed in the staffroom instead--away from anyplace there's an audience apart from the teacer. I'm really not expecting much out of this, nor do I give a shit about it. I've already submitted one project for internal assessment; that should count for something, right? And Hindi is one subject where I can never do well, no matter what. Even though my written Hindi is tons of times more refined than others' of my grade. Plus, on the 4th, there's another internal assessment thingo where I have to write a moral story based on a byword. I'm pretty sure I can do well in that. So what's the big fuss about the viva, anyway?
