My exams begin on Thursday, which is sad as it is, but it’s sadder, considering I have a disturbing amount of stuff to finish studying and it took me until today to be disillusioned. Subconsciously I kinda felt that somehow, I’ll manage to get through these exams virtually unscathed, but when my history teacher began blabbing about what chapters we had, I knew I had to do something about it. I mean, I can’t just sit and watch myself fail with embarrassingly low marks while expecting everything to turn out right of its own accord. And the sad part is that I’m fully aware of how much I have to study at this time. I don’t know why I keep putting it off. Every morning I tell myself I’m going to study this, or that, or this, or that—the that-s and this-es being pretty substantial—but when it’s afternoon I find myself daydreaming and plain unable to get my frigging self to study. Then in the evening I think I’m back to normal, and utterly disillusioned all over again, and pathetically shocked at how much time I’d wasted through the day for no apparent reason at all. And I try and study all that I can manage in two hours’ worth of time, but sadly, that doesn’t really amount to anything of much consequence: with respect to how much time I have left for the exams to start, that is. I’m having issues with concentration for some reason or another, and even as I reassure myself that I’m too much of a genius to permit such petty issues to affect me, I just can’t do anything about it. I guess from now on I have to be a little harsher on myself—no more laxity when it comes to studies. I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to increase my daily studying hours by another hour or the same and a half, so I think this is what I’ll do if I want to save myself from embarrassment and loss of that shiny reputation of mine.
I’ve unaccountably become a fan of the SenJin pairing, even though there aren’t even a handful of fics around that feature it, and I don’t think many people are going to read it if I take the initiative and start writing stories to that effect. But I will try it someday, and someday soon, I hope, because SenJin is too much of a temptation to resist. Dunno; I think Sen suits Jin much better than he does Rukawa, and since Mit suits Ru better than anybody else, I think SenJin puts everyone in their right place. Of course, an occasional SenRu fic has its charm, but I think I’m more predisposed toward SenJin. Maybe it’s just a whim in the passing, but whatever the case, it’s pretty darn hot. I read this story called Amen, by Megane-chan, which initially featured a Sen X Mit X Ru, but that changed to a SenJin and a MitRu later on; albeit in a disturbing way. And that’s when I realized how hot SenJin was. So if and when I find time and, not to mention, a suitable storyline, I’m going to pursue SenJin.
Okay, so my second favorite game in the Slam Dunk anime is in progress at the moment, and today was the first episode of the Ryonan-Kainan game (the other game is the Shohoku vs. Ryonan practice game; because Ryonan wins that one.) It was so frigging exciting, even though this was the third or fourth time I watched it. Sendoh’s just... the best. He’s unconquerable, unbeatable, insurmountable... what not? I could make up a gazillion excuses to pardon Ryonan’s loss to Shohoku, because, in my opinion, Ryonan should have won that game! It’s all Coach Taoka’s fault, if anyone’s. If only he were a bit more perceptive of his opponents’ abilities... I mean, Sendoh’s always gonna be better than Rukawa, even if the latter trained his butt off 24x7; there’s no doubting that. Argh, why couldn’t have Inoue just sent three teams to the Inter-Highs?! That would have done justice to Sendoh’s abilities and would have made me a lot happier; not to mention, at peace. I think I’ve mentioned this a billion times already, but Ryonan is my favorite team. I don’t have anything against the others, but Ryonan is simply my favorite. Everyone—from Uozumi, to Fukuda, to Hikoichi—is my favorite. Sendoh tops the list, of course. And I would be making myself redundant by saying Sendoh’s my favorite anime character ever, and I think I can safely say I love him without making people raise questions about my orientation. (It’s called ‘platonic’, and if you don’t know what that is, there’s only one thing that can help you, and that’s the dictionary.) Go ahead and call me weird, if you want, because I’ll second that. Right, so end of story. The invariable conclusion: Sendoh rocks the whole of Kanagawa with his moves!
