3 tests left; finished 350 chaps in bleach; other shit

Okay, so today I finished my environmental education test, and with it, a total of 8 exams. Meaning, I only have 3 left, which I still can’t believe. Anyway, even though I deplore the subject, and my opinion of it isn’t near likely to change, I have to admit that today’s test went fairly. Actually, I found it pretty easy. I crammed the whole book yesterday, and I didn’t even stop to wonder if I’d retained anything at all. Usually, I review the textbook quickly on the morning of the test, but I couldn’t get myself to do that today. Instead, I found myself staring at the contents page for 10 whole minutes before shutting the book resolutely. I decided that I wouldn’t care no matter even if the test sucked like a drain in a full bathtub. Somewhere at the back of my head, I was expecting a difficult test. My apprehensions seemed meaningless when I was handed the test paper: it was so easy that I almost laughed in relief. I mean, if they treated humanity to tests that simple, I might even see myself tolerating the subject in the future. Sadly (or otherwise), I’m through with the damn subject. In the past, when I pictured myself saying this, I said it with a lot of vim—way more than now, at least. Quite ironic, I guess: that no matter how much you want to do away with something, once it’s actually gone, you don’t feel a fraction of the satisfaction that you’d expected you’d feel. Oh, and I had biology before E.E. and after chemistry, and it was unimaginably easy. The next test of mine is—wait for it—history. Which is on Monday. I gave myself a day off today, much to the chagrin of my conscience.

I finished reading as much of the Bleach manga as has been made to date—that is, up until Chapter 350. Or at least that’s the latest on Onemanga. Anyway, Ulquiorra looks like an emo whore in his second resurrection, and throughout his seemingly one-sided fight with Ichigo, there was a miasma of despair that had nothing to do with the fact that Ulquiorra loves the word or the fact that his ugly, black cero pervaded the whole sky. I’m inclined to believe that Ulquiorra is indeed a Vasto Lorde. If he isn’t, then I hate to see what a Vasto Lorde really is. Judging by what Ulquiorra said—that he was the only Espada to have achieved a second resurrection and that not even Aizen knew that he could do so—one might be predisposed to believe that Ulquiorra renders himself at a position higher than his present one. I find Ulquiorra’s second resurrection nauseatingly ugly. It’s so ugly and so black and so ominous... comparable to the Gates of the Underworld or whatever it is that lies beyond them. All right, so he seems to effortlessly blast a hole through poor, masochistic Ichigo’s chest, and then he seems to have killed him off, and Orihime overreacts as usual and has the nerve to think that she’s useful in some way to humanity, and then Ichigo changes into this Vasto-Lorde-like thing when she’s not looking, and Ulquiorra’s as confused as her, and she doesn’t want to believe what she’s seeing, and Uryu’s a total eyesore as usual, and then this beastly Vasto Lorde Ichigo dude manages to blow Ulquiorra’s cero with one even more powerful, and then he cuts off one of Ulquiorra’s ugly arms, and all the while Ulquiorra’s uberly confused. How frightfully pleasant. Go Ichigo or whatever you are! Kill that sonuvawhore! But really, I can’t wait for Chapter 351 to pop up. I hope we get to see more of Byakuya in the future chapters. And I’m extremely curious to know just how powerful Unohana and Kyoraku really are. Judging by the stat points (they have this thing for every soul reaper captain), the two of them are the strongest captains (in order) after the Head Captain. And Kyoraku’s up against the Primera, so there’s no way he wouldn’t use his Bankai.

The Bleach category is this infinitely expanding thing, and yet it’s so hard to come by a fic worth reading. I guess that would owe itself to the fact that the majority of the authors are delusional OC writers, and a large portion of the rest are perverts. It’s so bloody hard to come across a Byakuya fic where he isn’t paired up with somebody. The worst part is that he’s either paired up with Rukia (which is nauseating per se—I deprecate incest), or Yachiru, of all the fucking females the Soul Society has. I mean, at least Byakuya X Yoruichi is acceptable—to a degree—because she’s among the few who know the real Byakuya, but even so, portraying Byakuya as a sentimental wimp is nothing short of blasphemy. I mean, it’s a generally accepted fact that Byakuya’s got a lot of emotional pain locked away somewhere inside of him, what with his wife’s death and all, but he is not sentimental. What people don’t get is that people can be emotional without being sentimental, and just because they’re incorrigibly stoic does not mean they aren’t capable of emotions. There is no need to make a public display of Byakuya’s emotions. Skilled authors would write about introspection on Byakuya’s part, but nothing more—because that’s the kind of guy he is. Describing his invisible emotions beyond a certain extent would render him hopelessly OOC.

Okay, this particular post was longer than I’d expected, and hopelessly circuitous and repetitive and all, but I really don’t care. I’m too tired to think rationally at the moment—six hours of sleep a day can’t do a person much good, can it? And six hours of light sleep at that. I think I’m developing insomnia, which is bad, considering that my attention-span, memory and power of concentration are already bad enough. So with the exception of a few hours, I’m half-asleep or fully awake throughout the night. Like I was awake at four in the morning today without the slightest recollection of waking up. And I’ve been having lucid dreams a lot lately. And what the hell, I haven’t drunk coffee in months. But no matter how tired I may feel, falling asleep is always an infernal pain in the ass. I only hope I don’t start suffering from sleep paralysis. I read about it, and frankly, there could be nothing scarier.
