Today I finished my Hindi exam, which would have, by the way, been my last exam. In other words, I would have been celebrating the end of my exams today if that incident (refer to my previous post) hadn’t taken place. I still haven’t forgiven those misguided imbeciles—I wouldn’t for a hundred years. People like them should understand that theirs is too low an IQ to benefit humanity in any way, and commit suicide before they go and fuck something up. People like them should be nipped in the bud with a chainsaw or a butcher knife or something like that. Anyway, I’m not about to waste my words on scum like them. I seriously should start looking at the bright side of things. So my Hindi exam’s over, and this means that I never have to study, or even read that damn language ever again. This country’s seriously messed up. This Board in particular. I have no idea why they’re laying so much emphasis on this near obsolete language and obtruding the loathsome thing on bright minds that have tons of better things to do than go back in time and learn Hindi. Learning Hindi is seriously like moving back in time. If there’s anything my past could have done without, it’s certainly that damn language. Among other things of course—Hindi’s just first on the list. And today, March 30, 2009, I’m totally, completely, absolutely through with Hindi. I don’t know. I should be a lot happier than this. Don’t know what’s wrong with me. Late reaction to something was never really a quality of mine, and I’m glad. And if this isn’t late reaction, then it’s... no reaction at all. I’ve been feeling strangely detached lately. Detached from life in general. Things that would have made me laugh out loud in happiness a few months ago fail to get so much as a smile out of me now. It can’t be stress. Or if is, then I’m not aware. But why should I be stressed out when just a couple of days later my exams get over? And there’s so many good things to relish, too: the fact that I’m done with environmental education, history and Hindi for good. I guess this is what they call becoming mature. When emotions begin to fade into a corner of your mind or disappear altogether. I like it this way. I’d always envisioned myself like this, and right now, I’m not complaining one bit.
