the general babble

Yesterday I went to a friend’s house for no reason in particular, and in addition to fooling around, we watched this movie he rented called ‘The Hills have Eyes’. I have neither the patience nor any desire to review it right here and now—you can check out the Reviews page in my Multiply account if you’re that keen on knowing my opinion. But this has to be said: The Hills have Eyes is an insult to humanity and everything on this planet that calls itself intelligent. It’s the embodiment of retardation, and right now, after I’ve watched the movie, the mere title makes me want to puke. For one thing, they show more blood than all animals on this planet collectively possess, and give such a dark, evil impression of the world that you wonder why you’re still alive when the last breeze that you felt could have been a sword being passed through your throat at the speed of light. It takes murder and gore to an entirely new level, and the murderers here are mutants with an ambiguous history, superhuman strength, and infinite tenacity, being able to survive for indeterminable periods in a desert with no apparent source of nutrition except the blood and innards of every human that sporadically passes through the place, and surviving the intense radiation of the 300+ nuclear tests the US Government performed in that area (according to the start of the movie), when the scientists themselves had to wear NBC suits (they were brutally slaughtered at the beginning of the movie) when they went out to the desert to check the radiation amounts, and the Geiger Counters they carried—if they weren’t faulty—showed that the place had huge amounts of nuclear radiation. They’re so violent that one would suspect their community to be comprised singularly of hideously ugly and malformed psychopaths with an inherent and pathological desire to kill humans—in fact, they’re so violent that when they said their purpose was to exact revenge against the humans that ostracized them, it appeared laughably mendacious. Whoever wrote the novel must have been venting his/her animalistic desire to kill into the book, because there can be no other explanation as to how something so retarded could have found its way onto the movie screen.

On a lighter note, yesterday, upon my friend’s suggestion, I checked out this woman named Susan Boyle on YouTube. She was supposedly an excellent singer on the British (sort of) counterpart of American Idol: Britain’s Got Talent. He was right, as I realized when she started singing: her voice was so mellifluous and confident that one would think she’s been a professional, immensely successful singer for decades, when in reality that was her first time singing before a large audience. Despite the fact that my friend had told me she sang really, really well, and that I was expecting something along those lines, her voice took me by surprise. When she replied with a cocky grin on her face that she was 47 to Simon Cowell’s apparently derisive questioning, and then proceeded to sing some song (I don’t know) that had something to do with the word ‘dream’, I was astounded. In a good way. So yeah, here’s hoping her dreams of becoming a successful singer come true.

As for Bleach, 356 hasn’t come out yet, when it should have come out yesterday. I’m starting to endorse the notion (a theory I came up with) that Kubo abandoned Bleach prematurely and fled to some remote place where nobody can find him since he ran completely out of ideas. From what it appears, I’ll have to wait indefinitely to find out what happened to poor Hitsugaya, and, in Hueco Mundo, what is up with that ugly asshole Yammy.

I've seen Susan Boyle on TV too. Amazingly operatic. And you know what's actually stupid about people? They think it's pretty much a shame that she went for a makeover (she doesn't actually look great, you know). They say shit like, she's not much different from pop stars who abandon their real identities after being famous. I mean, what a fucking load of crap, right? Anyone who's got enough money should fucking do something about her looks. It's everyone's right.

bunch of hypocrites, all of them. during the song the audience disregarded her appearance and singularly applauded her voice, and now they're blathering about her looks again.
