I think I’m going to stop reviewing Bleach chapters for everybody’s own good, and because I’ve gotten bored of doing so. Those who are interested will have already read it, and those who aren’t are not going to read it. So there’s no point in dedicating an entire entry to a Bleach chapter, especially since the chapters lately have been nothing less than boring. I’m going to stick to more relevant stuff from now on.
First of all, my computer time has been severely rationed. I have only enough to check my email every day—not that I ever get anything noteworthy—and perhaps to write this blog entry. But that’s only if I’m frugal with my time, as I’m expected to be. My dad’s not at home right now, so yeah, I’m taking advantage of that. So getting back to the nub of things, this means that people shouldn’t expect me to write any more fics or update my older ones in a long, long time. It also means that I’m going to have a particularly hard time working on the second chapter of the fic ivy and I are writing, and I can’t make any promises at this point. The general idea is that my presence on the internet will become scarce.
Yesterday I took a break and (finally) went to watch Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. My friends, who watched it before I did, said that it was the best so far. It even inspired one of them, who never reads, to read the seventh book. I thought the movie was good, but to be honest, not as good as everyone said it was. I mean the movie ended in anticlimax. The fight scene was a lot more exciting in the book, and in the movie, it only lasted a couple of seconds. Plus they gave the impression that every single minute in their lives was spent evading danger. They skipped Dumbledore’s funeral entirely, as well as some otherwise significant characters, such as the new Minister for Magic and Bill Weasley. I think they could have done a better job there. I think Draco Malfoy gained much prominence in this movie. His character was otherwise that of an antihero who popped in and out of scenes, trying and failing to do somebody harm and in the process providing much needed comic relief. Here he is a total villain, and I think that the new insight into his character makes him a much less odious person than I considered him earlier. Same goes for Snape, I guess.
I also bought a book by Jeffrey Archer called “First Among Equals.” I’ve read the Prologue and first chapter, and they seemed all right to me. So far so good. Language is nothing impressive, but much better than the likes of David Baldacci or Patricia Cornwell, who probably never even read one of Dr. Seuss’s books. First Among Equals still bears some faint traces of the writing style characteristic of British authors of the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century, which inevitably gives me a favorable impression of Archer. If everything goes well with this book, I might even buy another of his.

i completely agree with your review of HP6...i didnt like it that much either. though i did like malfoy better thanks to this movie.
i swear, i liked malfoy so much better after watching it that i surprised myself. i mean, before i used to hate him. like crazy. but now... well, he's probably one of my favorite characters. i mean tom felton did his role really well. much better than harry, anyway, who in comparison seemed pretty robotic. =)
so anyway, how'd you like my new layout? ^^
