While randomly checking out Bleach’s Wiki the other day I discovered that a new arc had started (an anime filler obviously). It sounded interesting so I decided to check it out. I’ve watched about four episodes already, and frankly, it’s the weirdest thing ever. I mean not weird bad or anything—just weird. There’s this really shady and annoying pansy who miraculously has the ability to free Zanpakutō from their owner’s swords and turn them against them. Well, from what he said it sounded like the Zanpakutō were averse to their owners in the first place, which is hard to comprehend, since that would contradict the stuff the original series enunciates, Zanpakutō being an alternate manifestation of the Reaper’s soul and all that. But despite all the apparent flaws in the storyline, it can’t be denied that this arc is the most interesting filler yet. It’s like Soul Reapers stripped of their power versus the power itself. The odds against the Soul Reapers are astronomical, which makes it all the more interesting to see how they beat their present opponent. All this kind of makes me think: Would this pansy (Muramasa or something like that) be able to beat Aizen? I don’t think this will ever be answered.
On an unrelated note (I should seriously come up with a better intro phrase for my paragraphs), one of the keys on my electronic keyboard broke. Middle C to be specific. And since that’s possibly the most commonly played key, there’s practically nothing I can play now. To top it off, the Trinity Guildhall exam is next Friday, and if I can’t practice, my piano teacher’s gonna skin me. But on the bright side (and this is totally disproportionate to the dark side), I finally have an excuse to get a new keyboard!
Midterms start on Thursday (it’s that Board shit that nobody in our school cares about), and needless to say I haven’t started studying. Unless you count idly skimming through the miserable English textbook with a critical eye or transporting books from one room to the next. Right… so I’m in deep shit.
By the way, I was watching that movie New York (that weird Hindi movie that everyone else seems to have watched) with my parents last night, and it was like staring at a photograph: it was that slow. Eventually my parents shooed me and my brother away using “It’s too late” as an excuse, but I found out later that they didn’t want us to see all the morbid torture and stuff. Considering that I’ve seen movies like Hills have Eyes without so much as wincing at the violent scenes, I wonder why they’d think I couldn’t take the sight of mere torture. But yeah, I’ve seen enough of New York to be convinced that it’s another one of those debacles. Hate the main actor anyway.
Working on a one-shot for Slam Dunk. It’s going to be big-time yaoi, and not because I like yaoi or anything (because I don’t), but because I’m seriously pissed off with all the RuHana crap that’s being dumped into the category. Yeah, I’m gonna bash RuHana so badly that it’ll wish it never came out of its mama’s womb.
