bleach: 380

Bleach Chapter 380 came out today. Just as I expected, Ichigo was incredulous as hell when he saw who just saved his skin. Although they did neglect to show Rukia altogether, which still leaves her reaction shrouded in mystery. So Zaraki wasted no time in joining the fight, although his first attack was on Ichigo. And then Yammy punched him the course of the second and sent him flying out of sight—yes, I know how strange this sounds, but that’s exactly what happened. Byakuya was just watching, as he usually does unless it’s imperative that he fights, reminding Ichigo whenever the latter seemed to give in to his propensity to play hero (like all manga protagonists seem to do) of how useless he was, in his condition and otherwise. They obviously overlooked his fight against Ulquiorra and assumed all his wounds had been inflicted by Yammy. Then again, maybe not. Then Ichigo retorted to one of Byakuya’s remarks by saying there was no way to return to the World of the Living unless Urahara opened the gate, and Mayuri Kurotsuchi arrived on the scene, hauling in a Garganta on a cart. And then Unohana arrived shortly after, which basically completed the Hueco Mundo party, minus a few truants here and there, and expressed her intention of going to the World of the Living with Ichigo. Her presence will obviously be graciously received there, judging by the enormous number of casualties and the strength of the enemy. Maybe we’ll get to see Unohana fight in the world of the Living? There’s no way Aizen would want to spare any one of the Soul Reapers, so he would doubtless attempt to attack Unohana, too, if only through one of his shameless underlings, viz. Gin and Tousen. In such an event, Unohana couldn’t help but fight back, even if it’s only for self-defense. And going by her (implied) strength, even her attempts at self-defense are likely to be impressive, and that’s what I’m looking forward to. And of course, since the focus is now going to shift from Hueco Mundo to the World of the Living again what with Ichigo’s going there, I feel slightly disappointed. This means that they’re not going to be showing much of Yammy’s fight again. But anyway, they’ll have to finish it off eventually. I just hope Byakuya doesn’t get too badly beaten up.

yeah, i'm looking forward to see unohana fight too. how absolutely weird of them to completely ignore rukia and ishida and orihime! i mean, wasn't the whole hueco mundo crap about rescuing orihime? it would be just like ichigo to whoosh to karakura town with unohana forgetting about orihime and ishida. well, whatever. byakuya looks waaay hawt =P =P and i want to see his battle... but you're right, they'd probably focus on karakura town now.

yeah, but i'm sure they'll be fine. i mean, orihime's totally uninjured, so her powers should be unaffected. she'll patch up uryu in no time, and chad, rukia and renji are in isane's care. i'm sure she'll take care of them. and once yammy's been taken care of by our incredibly powerful duo of super-captains, all of them will probably go back to the world of the living to turn the tables there, or at least try. and unohana's there, so she could heal the injured.

but the question is, what of the hogyoku? did aizen take it with him, or is it still in hueco mundo? if it is, as unlikely as this is, maybe they should make it their priority to destroy it first and then go to the world of the living. a lot depends on the destruction of the hogyoku, even if aizen isn't planning on re-creating his arrancar army any time soon.

oh well, more answers next friday i guess :))
