So that stupid EAMCET-style test we had today went as stupidly as I’d expected. I mean, I never liked it all that much, despite the fact that it’s the only kind of test in which you can score well with relative ease, for unknown reasons, but it was so weird today. Physics: the subject that I usually do best in among the three subjects was the one I was staring agape at, completely clueless, when it’s usually math that elicits such a reaction from me. Math on the other hand went comparatively better, even if I spent most of my time substituting stuff and coming up with an answer that I deemed reasonable enough to be right. Chemistry went pretty well, although I’d attribute this to the fact that it was practically the only thing I studied. Physics is what baffled me. Moment of Inertia and Rotational Mechanics in general are topics that I knew I wasn’t really good at right from the time when we started them, although instead of doing anything about it, I chose to sit aside and pretend I was really all that good in physics. I guess that’s what went wrong.
Anyway, our Math teacher has been behaving like a total jerk for the past couple of days. I am to understand that a certain issue arose in the batch of Dalton, Nikki’s batch, regarding the way he teaches, which involved people telling him that they wanted a different teacher. But he and the class reconciled soon after, as I inferred from the way he was talking with them later on so amicably, and as it would appear, he’s taking out all his frustration on us. I mean, he walks in like some wannabe dictator on Friday, and starts saying all kinds of ominous things that, though obviously just hollow words, were decidedly scary—coming from someone like him, that is. He started saying stuff like, “If you say another word, it’ll be your last for a whole week,” or “I’ll make you cry now,” when he caught someone laughing. It was weird to say the least. It’s like he was traumatized from what happened in Dalton and decided he would throw his weight around in our class to prevent such a thing from happening in our class. Actually, I think it has something to do with a lot of people in our class trying to do the same as what the folks in Dalton did, or so the teacher’s not-so-subtle insinuations would suggest. In any case, I really hope he gets over this bout of depression or whatever soon and returns to his old self, because this is starting to piss me off.
As for Friday’s update of the Bleach manga, I kind of thought it was being too ambitious. I mean, Ichigo’s injured as hell—on-the-border-between-life-and-death kind of injured—so he shouldn’t have been able to floor Yammy, the Cero Espada, and supposedly the strongest, so easily. If he could, than he should be able to take on Aizen just as effortlessly once he’s recuperated (Lord forbid). Either that or Yammy’s been seriously overrated with the whole resurrection drama—changing from Espada 10 to Espada 0. I’m seriously inclined to believe the whole thing was just an accident and the numeral 1 getting erased was just an accident. But still, I’m rather disappointed in Kubo for making Ichigo reappear so soon for another battle when he should have made people like Unohana do that. I’d been hoping Unohana would be the one to take on Yammy. I mean come on, she may be averse to violence, but she’d be heartless to just sit around and watch when all the other captains were preoccupied elsewhere or recuperating from their injuries. But no, it had to be Ichigo, and I’m guessing after Ichigo loses all four of his limbs in this battle (after miraculously beating Yammy to a pulp), he’s going to go to the World of the Living (as impossible as it is, according to Mayuri) and defeat Aizen and Gin and Tosen with a single slash of his teeth or something.
As for the upcoming anime update, I do hope things go the way I want them to for a change.
