Episode 249 was actually good. I mean it was suspenseful, wholly unpredictable, and plain badass. From the time Orihime, out of her brainless humanity, healed Muramasa, not hesitating even when he told her he was enemies with Ichigo, up to the part when Muramasa released his decaying master from the coffin, it was consistently engrossing. Uryu and Chad tried attacking Muramasa, but the latter was too quick for them. When Uryu was finally about to land a hit, Senbonzakura intercepted the attack. (Thankfully it was Senbonzakura and not Byakuya: that would have brought Byakuya a lot of disgrace.) From the way Uryu was fighting Senbonzakura, it transpired that he wasn’t really weak at all. I mean, I generally always regarded Ichigo as being of any worth at all in their little group. Chad and Orihime have already proven that they suck big-time at fighting. Uryu, I wasn’t too sure of. And so what if this is a filler: Uryu is still strong. He actually managed to break a piece of Senbonzakura’s mask off while completely absorbing his attack and being completely unscathed. (For a moment there, I thought that he’d actually succeeded in destroying Senbonzakura.) And then Muramasa went over to the island where his master was apparently sealed up. I was half expecting Byakuya to show up and stop him, since I was of the opinion that the anime writers couldn’t afford to introduce another new character in the form of the long-lost master, but none of that ever happened, and Muramasa succeeded in releasing his master from what he called a “coffin”. His master (Kouga) was the ugliest thing I’d ever set eyes on, the corpses I saw at Osmania University included. He looked nothing less than a corpse himself, and for aesthetic reasons, I was hoping he would absorb some energy or something and patch himself up. The episode ended with Kouga ominously opening his eyes. According to the preview of Episode 250, Ginrei Kuchiki is somehow involved in all this. There was this Soul Reaper, probably Kouga, who was trying to attack either him or the Head Captain, who was standing some distance off. That would explain why the anime writers dragged Byakuya into this mess. It could be, for all you know, a matter of vendetta.
On the real-life front, nothing new has happened. School has consistently remained closed since the last time I reported it to be closed, all owing to that brain-dead man and his delusional desires. It would transpire that the Fates are preparing to cut his, well, length of yarn thing, and such a thing, though something to celebrate, could culminate in a full-scale riot breaking out in the state, something my mom says would undoubtedly be even worse than the present situation. I can’t help harboring violent thoughts. I absolutely, thoroughly loathe the illiterate, ignorant, barbaric, immoral, fickle-minded lowerclassmen of this country, as well as those disgraceful “students” who are participating in this rebellion for reasons that couldn’t be more profound than a toilet, and deprecate anyone who feels that these filthy insects are entitled to human rights. Insects need to be squashed, and that’s the best anyone could do for them in the way of justice. Ignorance + Arrogance + Recalcitrance = Indians.
