randomness

The first of the Reshuffling Tests is over. It didn't go as well as I had hoped, and my only consolation is the fact that just about everyone thought the same, but there's nothing anyone can do about it. It only means that I need to make up for it with good scores in the other two tests. Which in turn requires that I put in more effort than I did earlier. Which is hard, considering how lazy I've been feeling of late. I wonder why they want to put us through three reshuffling tests when one or -- let's be reasonable -- two would have been more than enough. I suppose it's the congenital sadism of the people at school that's caused all this. The Voices must have told them that April was a good month to put students through tests -- just for the fun of it. But there was an ulterior motive: The people at school are probably part of a secret organization whose sole purpose is to rid the world of the contagion known as "summer vacation". I suspect that my math teacher is their leader, and the superficially nice and kindhearted physics teacher is the one who deludes students into believing that everything is hunky-dory while he quietly betrays them and joins up with the rest of his clique.

On a side note, it's terrifyingly hot in this country right now. So hot that people all around have begun vaporizing into wispy, vapor humans. People of the West would not be familiar with them, so for the sake of comprehensibility, I'll call them ghosts. Yes, these wispy, vapor humans are the ones that people mistakenly call ghosts. They can walk through walls, disappear in one place and reappear in another, and do practically everything the modern ghost can do. Mothers tell their kids that if they went outside in the summer sun, they would turn into ghosts. Kids grow up without knowing that ghosts were actually living, breathing humans -- only in the gaseous state, and with no hope of returning to normal, who only died when the RMS velocity of their molecules exceeded ten times the normal. Yes, we learned all this at school. We also learned that if you made these wispy, vapor humans expand in a low-pressure region, they would cool down owing to the Joule-Thomson effect, and if you stuffed two or more wispy, vapor humans inside a single container, the total pressure in the container would be equal to the partial pressure exerted by each wispy, vapor human (Dalton's Law of Partial Pressues). If one made a small hole in the containor, one would observe that the rate of effusion of the wispy, vapor humans was inversely proportional to their molecular masses (Grahm's Law of Diffusion/Effusion). A dude named Johannes Diderik van der Waals was the first to propose a Real Wispy, Vapor Human Law -- hitherto, they had all been ideal wispy, vapor human laws -- by taking into consideration the excluded volume around a molecule of a wispy, vapor human and the forces of attraction between molecules. Remarkable, the things that we learn at school.

On a different note, I've been watching an anime called Gakuen Alice/Alice Academy lately. In fact I've finished watching it. Don't be fooled by the name: It has little to do with Alice in Wonderland. It's goofy/funny at times, and at other times it has pretty dark and mature themes -- definitely darker than Bleach. I don't like dark themes too much, and I've heard that the manga has most of them, which is why I'm not planning to read it. Presently I'm working on a Gakuen Alice fic, in which I'm sending the whole of Elementary Class B on a camping trip. I have a tendency to write fics like that. I've written one for Slam Dunk, and another for Bleach. The fic is meant to be lighthearted, so I'll try not to deal with the darker aspects of the series. I suppose that's it.

hahaha i totally agree about the raman/jenny collaboration XDXD
and LMAO @ the whole gaseous state thing =P man, that's why i love reading your blog =P
yeah, i saw that. i got an email about the fic and was wondering... huh? alice what?

huh. i'm feeling lazy too, despite that i have a reason to hurry up and STUDY!! my mom was kinda yelling at me today, and i said that my dismal performance in the first test (around 133+)wasn't really my fault. and guess what she said? 'don't use your dad's hospital stay as an excuse.' oh yes. i suppose that running the damn household in the absence of my parents, waking up everyday and getting my brother to school, and taking care of my grandparents, who decided to stay and 'take care of us' (quite the opposite, it turned out), visiting my dad and consoling several inconsolable relatives ( my grandmom especially ) and all the rest of the crap don't eat into my study time.
... to which she responded, 'well, who asked you to do all that? you should have asked the maid.'

...

What am I even supposed to say to that??

what, you got the test scores already??? how come i didn't?
oh, i really hope i see them before my dad does ~.~

and no offense, but maids don't console grandmoms.

oh, no, i didn't. i checked my paper with the key they gave (which, by the way, has quite a lot of mistakes.. my teacher and i foound 5 in math =|).. so im expecting 133+.

LOL XDXD yeah, but i didn't exactly mention that to my mom. or that would have ben an awesome comeback =P

you know, at the end of everything, she finally yelled, 'i can't explain this to you! you don't understand anything i say! why don't you let anyone in??'

.. and i was like, whoa. XD i didn't have anything to say to the sudden change of topic.. ah well. i guess she's just frustrated.

Phew... Last night every five minutes i was checking my dad's cell phone for messages, but there were none from fiitjee. XD

yeah, you're mom's just probably under a lot of stress. don't take anything she says too personally. it happened to my mom too when i was a kid, although the stress was because of my grandmother, her mom-in-law. she used to beat me up randomly and for no reason XD

Yeah, I know *sigh*

LOL when my mom has mom-in-law problems, she comes and rants about it to me =P the advantage of being a daughter I guess XD

so it would seem XD

I have no clue myself -- absolute randomness, that's what it is =P
Well, actually, it's about a grown up me, Anushka, and our tenth grade social studies teacher, who I used to imitate pretty well XD she's from Kerala, and I think that explains it all =P we've had a lot of teachers from Kerala, all with amazing accents, so this is kind of about them, too. this is just one of the crazy ideas I get when i'm with Anushka =P
