There was a sign on the gate –
“Beware of hunting dogs” –
And the message was clear,
Real clear.
But a brainless old goof
Walks in one day,
Only to be bitten.
He was not the first,
Not the second,
But the twentieth guy
To be bitten by A.
And for the rest of the day
The owners contemplated
Giving him away.
The man who was bitten –
He was very important –
Albeit corrupt –
But important is important,
And when a guy who is important
Gets bitten by a dog,
They lay the animal to rest.
But no, this man is benevolent.
“Just give the dog away.”
The owner doesn’t know what to say.
Then he consults a spiritual leader,
Whose word was the final word,
And he says, “Give the dog away.
“He is no dog – he is a wolf.”
And so the owner obliges.
Dear A,
They are giving you away,
Because a human who was foolish
And didn’t know how to read
Made you bite him.
Maybe, if he wasn’t so important;
Maybe, if he wasn’t the twentieth victim…
But a bite is a bite, and a human a human.
Their worthless lives are more important
Than yours,
Because stupid though they may be,
Useless though they may be,
They are still labeled important,
And all that is important must be kept safely.
And so closer comes the day
When we give you away.
Where you will go, who knows.
How much longer you will live, who knows.
But hey,
Even if it’s a million years,
Or just another day,
You will always have a place to stay,
With us.

Sigh. I feel so horrible just by reading that. I totally understand how it feels now, coz I've got a dog of my own.
What are your plans for him now? Asterix, right?
Naw, this one's Archie. (A little misleading, since both their names start with an A.) The only good part is that we're giving him back to the guy who bred him, and he promised to keep him (not that he would have had much of a choice -- Archie's just too untameable.) The unfortunate part is that we'll need to buy another dog to give Asterix company. It kind of feels like we're "replacing" Archie.
And I think it safe to make this blog public again.
Oh, Archie. I thought your german shepherd was named Asterix, but whatever.
Ouch. Ah, that sucks. So.. what dog are you planning on getting?
What happened at school today?
a golden retriever, because we can be assured that it won't bite... -_-
as for school, we didn't have lenny, because he was busy meeting with the first-year kids' parents. we had double jenny, in which he discussed the whole of emi, and the obj 1 & 2 and the short-answer questions of magnetic field and mag field due to a current-carrying wire (partly). benny taught us location of roots. like, when both roots are positive, both are negative, one is positive and one is negative, and when both roots are on one side of a given point, on either side of the point, etc. then she did the same with two fixed points.
the other periods were french and practicals.
oh, and you're expected to finish the parabolas assignment (the second one) by monday, as well as AC circuits in HCV's book. janardhan will be giving us one of his profound tests next week on AC and EMI.
oh, and he also said to stop studying 1st year this week. i guess he assumed we were studying it all this time :P
A golden retriever-- cool.
Thanks for the update ^^ hehe, I didn't finish much in parabolas; for some reason I'm finding it a bit difficult *sigh*. Gotta slave over it tomorrow.
LOL yeah, I couldn't do ANY first year stuff for the last two weeks! And after the phase test I have to start writing up my practical records.. since there won't be any time after that..
Damn. No fan fiction time!
