Telugu Akademi was forced to update its textbooks this year when the neurotic government decided that it was scholarly enough to interfere in things it knew nothing about, with the result that students' 12th-grade marks shall henceforth matter in university admissions. The leader of this band of ignoramuses (a man who shall be known only as the Duck-Billed Poptart) thinks his dumb idea will make students' lives easier.
I would say that the DBP succeeded, to the extent that his REAL plan was to normalize the quality of students in the country by pulling the good down, and raising the performance of the bad by redefining academics. It's almost like the obsession a few "enlightened" people have with EQs as a suitable substitute for IQs.
Telugu Akademi is no doubt delighted that their pathetic organization is finally being recognized for glories that it could never earn. They have, for the first time since the organization's inception in 1800 BCE, changed their curriculum in an attempt to be consistent with modern scientific theory. They failed, unfortunately, since their prehistoric brains could not grasp the idea that nature gods were not an efficient explanation for natural phenomena, after grappling with the idea that natural phenomena had to explained at all. But their little attempt was admirable anyway.
What is NOT admirable is the way in which they trebled the cost of their books by introducing inordinate amounts of colored ink into them that doesn't make sense in any way, aesthetic or other. This anti-intellectual organization is alive only because it is supported by the rotting skeleton of socialist India. It is hoped that this skeleton will wither, and the subhuman, noxious scum that makes up the organization will forever be destroyed.
People who have formerly been attacked with these horrible books will remember the pathetic "Appeal" printed on the back cover. Well, it's still there. An exceprt:
Ladies and gentlemen, contrary to the laws to which most other books are bound, Telugu Akademi's publications IMPROVE in quality under illegal copying. Putting it illegally through a copying machine a few heptillion times might even yield something on the level of a dead fish wrapped in a palm leaf.

“It is in the interest of the students that the Akademi appeals not to purchase pirated editions as Akademi publications are revised from time to time with latest information.”
