Brain freeze

It is cold. Yet for some reason I thought it a good idea to buy frozen yogurt after returning the sociology books I had rented. The only way I avoided hypothermia was by ducking into the Union on the way back. My fingers would not have survived the half-mile walk in 22-degree weather (7 with wind chill), nor my heart. So I found myself a seat in the cafe, and decided to finish the rest of the yogurt before reembarking on the treacherous journey to the apartment. Then I thought, "What the heck am I doing?" As if the weird, almost pained looks I got from passersby in the street as they beheld my unseasonable snack weren't enough to convince me of the stupidity of my craving. (And why must I crave frozen yogurt every time I visit the bookstore?) Then I got myself an invigorating and most suitable Americano that was the only thing that saved me from departing this world. It is predicted that nighttime temperatures today will fall to 1 degree. I wonder if it would be wise to go for a run later.

EDIT: The low that night was in fact -2 degrees Fahrenheit.
