“Class, we have a new student with us!” announced the teacher happily as a tall girl with silky raven hair and a face that could launch a thousand ships walked in, throwing a flying kiss at her classmates. All the boys drooled and swooned; the girls frowned.
“Hi, I’m Mary Sue,” said the girl. “I’m 178 cm tall, and I used to be on the basketball team in my old school. I’m half American, quarter Japanese, one-eighth French, and another eighth Italian. My eyes are actually rainbow colored because of my mixed heritage, but I wear tinted contacts so that I don’t stand out too much. I hope we can all be good friends!”
“My, my, Mary!” said the teacher, wiping a tear from the corner of her eye and sniffling as she regarded the new student fondly. “We need more students like you!”
She glared at the class, which was still gaping at Mary.
A/N: Because she was so beautiful. LOL.
“Er… I was wondering where I could sit,” Mary said.
“Oh, over there.”
The teacher pointed at an empty seat next to a boy who was asleep.
Mary shrugged and took the seat, eliciting shrieks of indignation from the girls of the class. She supposed that the guy next to her was pretty popular among the girls. She took a closer look and didn’t notice anything particularly special about the boy.
The teacher had begun teaching after dedicating the class to Mary.
Mary, who was a girl of high principles, couldn’t bear the sight of a student doing something so objectionable as sleeping during a class.
“Psst… Wake up!” she said, shaking the sleeping dude by the shoulder. A strange thought crossed her mind. She addressed the teacher: “He’s not going to punch me if I wake him up, is he?”
“No, of course not!” replied the teacher, unable to fathom why anyone should want to hurt something as lovely and adorable as Mary.
Mary shrugged and proceeded to jab the boy in the ribs.
“Um… I think you should wake up—Ouch!”
The boy punched her, and she started bleeding.
A/N: LOL
“Blood!” she screamed, and passed out.
A/N: She was scared of blood. :D
“Erm…” said the teacher. “Meet Kaede Rukawa.”
All the girls in the class sighed dreamily.
When Mary finally came to, she was surrounded by a bunch of tall, scary-looking people who wore solicitous looks on their faces and were staring down at her.
“Where am I?” she said, getting up. Her head hurt. She had lost too much blood.
A/N: Because Rukawa punched her.
“In the basketball gym,” said the biggest of the guys. “I’m Captain Takenori Akagi of the Shohoku Basketball Team. When we saw you’d passed out, we just had to help you.”
The rest of the people nodded gravely.
“Basketball?” said Mary. “That’s my favorite sport!”
A/N: She was the ace in her old school. She left because the boys kept raping her.
Rukawa, who was standing nearby, immediately perked up at this.
“You play basketball?” he asked incredulously, unable to comprehend how someone so beautiful could play a man’s game.
Mary nodded enthusiastically, and the entire Shohoku team exchanged excited looks.
“Listen, do you want to join our team?” asked Akagi. “We have one free spot.”
A/N: He was talking about the Shohoku basketball team. XD
“Where?” asked a kid with red hair.
“Your position. Sakuragi, you’re off the team.”
“Cool,” said Mary. “So when do we start practicing?”
“As soon as Coach Anzai gets here.”
A short, rotund old man was pushed through the doors just then. He landed unceremoniously on his bottom with a dull thud that reverberated around the entire court.
“I’m Coach Anzai,” said the man. “Pleased to meet you. I expect you’ll be joining our team.”
A/N: Coach Anzai’s the Coach.
“That’s right,” said Mary enthusiastically. “I look forward to playing with all of you!”
A/N: She’s looking forward to play basketball. Lol.
Just then Rukawa tossed a ball at her back, and she caught it adroitly and without so much as a modicum of surprise.
“One-on-one,” said Rukawa. This girl is good. “Now.”
A/N: Rukawa’s the Shohoku ace.
“Sure,” said Mary, and soon, she and Rukawa hit the court.
“She plays so well despite being injured,” said Akagi, astounded by how flexible, agile and skilled Mary was at the sport he loved.
She ran rings around Rukawa, and when it was decided that the ill-equipped Shohoku scoreboard couldn’t accommodate a triple-digit score, the game was finally called off. Mary beat Rukawa 101 to 17 in less than three minutes.
“I win,” she declared happily. “Although I have gotten pretty rusty. Haven’t gone anywhere near a basketball since I was in preschool.”
Everyone stared at her.
A/N: Because she was so good :D
“Not to worry, though, I’ll practice,” she said. “Oof!”
By an unfortunate accident, both her tinted contacts fell off.
“WOW,” said Akagi. “Rainbow-colored eyes?”
Rukawa stared into them. They were a different color depending on your angle. To him they were a dark pink: the color of passion. He inched closer and closer until he was near enough to plant his lips on her smooth, fragrant ones.
All the boys in Shohoku began protesting loudly at this injustice, shouting things such as, “Mary was mine!”
Mary, meanwhile, was oblivious to everything, and was enjoying her passionate kiss with the guy she loved.
“I knew from the moment I saw you,” she said when they broke apart for air, “that you were the right guy for me.”
“I knew since the moment you were born,” said Rukawa, “that you were the right girl for me.”
They got married soon, an event that was covered by media from around the world. The President of the United States personally attended the wedding and told Mary and Rukawa that they could have their honeymoon at the White House. The Russian President selected a 4,000 acre plot of land where the German Government had built an enormous castle, and gifted it, along with Lake Baikal, which would serve as the luxury swimming pool, to the couple. Boeing gave them an enormous private jet plane. NASA gave them free tickets for a 10-day tour of outer space. The Indians renamed the Himalayas after them. A/N: The Himalayas are a mountain range. There were numerous other gifts, of course, which were shipped off to Antarctica because there was not enough room for them at the Rukawas’ new residence.
Mary and Rukawa then had a million kids, and lived happily ever after.
A/N: Mary had eternal youth.
THE END!!!
