bleach 622 **spoilers**

I have to hand it to Titkubs, he certainly has recovered from the writer's block that led him to write the Fullbring Arc. For some time during that arc (i.e., for about the length of a year), I feared that his muse had deserted him, and whatever was impelling him to continue writing was certainly not it. But it seems that there was little to fear all along. He was just going through a phase, as most of us do, and now he is back to being the Titkubs we know and are continually trolled by.

It seems that Aizen's immurement has humbled him. Or stamped the spirit out of him. Whatever it is, he seems quite happy to help the Soul Reapers out. (Obviously he has his own reasons for doing so, but for a couple of moments in this chapter it seemed as if he and the Soul Reapers were actually getting along.) His powers are, of course, awesome - in the older sense of the word - and it's gratifying to know that the Soul Reapers have an actual god on their side - even if he's not really on their side. At this rate Juha Bach is going to need a deus ex machina to stand a chance against his opponents. Of course, Aizen may be something of a god, but we all know that Ichigo is the one and only deus ex machina in Bleach.

But putting Ichigo on a shelf for now, and forgetting about him for good, I expect that Aizen and Juha Bach will have at least a preliminary showdown. Otherwise what was the point of freeing him? We haven't seen Grimmjow yet, either, and I have it on a reliable source that Kubo himself said that we haven't seen the last of Grimmjow. Hopefully that doesn't mean that it's going to cut to a couple of panels of Grimmjow lying dead and decaying on the sands of Hueco Mundo, though with Kubo it's impossible to tell.

Anyway, I thought the Soul Reapers' indignation at being presented by Kyoraku with Aizen was laughable. So much pride, so little consideration for the big picture. Ukitake died in vain, and Yamamoto has been dead for over a hundred chapters, so the Soul Reapers now completely lack a voice of reason. Kyoraku alone is mature and levelheaded, but he doesn't seem like a guy who would forbear juvenile behavior. Though I suppose that, as a fan, my fondness for Aizen is not something that I should expect the other characters to share.

Titkubs/Titty Kubo (in the words of J. P.), don't let us down now.
