immanent wednesday blues

I am in the unenviable position of having a sore throat. Still going to class, though - that goes without saying - but fears of dying have given me something to think about, and I am quite determined, shall we say, to experience success in a confident way! As FIITJEE liked to tell prospective clients (they were not "students" by any stretch of the imagination). At any rate, I think now is as good a time as any to make note of our updated nicknames list, mostly from distributed computing: 1) Stripes; 2) Sassy Sally; 3) John Galt; 4) Speedy Gonzales; 5) Killer TA (this one has more truth to it than the others); 6) Gregory Piggery (this one had me snickering obscenely yesterday... I hope he doesn't read my blog); and 7) Evangelist Mary. I don't know if I've missed anyone. At any rate, I was reading one of my less inspired fanfics last night, and was startled to discover that it was prescient in a way that I shall refrain from expanding on at the present time - or at any time in the future, for that matter. I shall put it down to being indisposed, and hopefully, when cooler thoughts prevail, I shall find that I was mistaken. Oh, and the title is taken from rather an amusing conversation I had with a guy on the Internet who wouldn't believe that the word "immanent" as used in a poem in one of the Bleach chapters was a real word.
