if i were an artist

I recently logged onto the family computer, Microsoft's much-vaunted Surface Studio, with the aim of trying out the Fresh Paint app. Some of my friends have been uploading very convincing artwork to Instagram, and, even though I'm the furthest thing from an artist since that lady whose trash bag exhibit was mistakenly thrown out by the janitor, I thought I might check it out. Like anyone who sees things in his mind's eye, I am visited by the desire from time to time to commit these nebulous impressions to canvas, so to speak, so that I may see them better. A very vivid memory I have of a painting, for instance, that I have never been able to find that depicted a macabre inversion of the Day of Judgement. A skeleton in a cuirass with no legs in place of Christ descending from the sky among an ekpyrotic scene of blood and devastation, similar to the painting by Stefan Lochner, with a profound suggestion of Äs Nödt (the head tilt and arms) in the scene where he "kills" Byakuya and the cover of Gore Vidal's Messiah (the color palette). The surreality was similar to that in the painting where Cthulu Jesus holds up the Constitution of the United States. The style was Medieval, with dark and muted colors, though not afraid of contrast. Like I mentioned, I have never been able to find the painting. I've tried countless combinations of very specific keywords on Google, none of which turned up the vaguest clue that the painting is real. Now I'm beginning to think it isn't real - never was. Maybe I combined various aspects of the pieces and stills I just mentioned and invented a memory that I began sincerely to believe in. Sometimes I think of commissioning someone to make this painting, because the desire to see it in real life is just too damn strong. I could try doing it myself, but I don't have the talent. Perhaps I thought Fresh Paint might make up for my deficiencies.

Spoiler alert: It didn't.

Here's my less-than-amateurish attempt, in case some kind soul with a talent for the artistic wants to pick up where I left off and complete it.
